There's an intimacy in getting hands on with a vhs player.

  

The machine responds to touch and stimulation in many exciting and dangerous ways, with moving parts and sensitive electronics.

  

This combination of dangerous and exciting intimacy has parallels with sadomasochism. 

 

This piece explores what pleasure and pain can we find, and maybe even relate to, in the cold steel and hard plastic of the old but familiar hardware. 

Content Warnings:

This is a game about sadomasochism and the eroticism of the machine, it includes stylised depictions of violence.

Mouse Controls:

•     - Left click and drag objects around the screen
•     - While dragging, use the scroll wheel to bring the object closer or further away from the camera
•     - Left click on buttons to activate them.

Gamepad Controls:

•     - Left Thumbstick, while NOT holding A or the Right trigger, will change highlighted object
•     - Right Trigger + Left Thumbstick to drag objects around the screen
•     - While dragging, use the Right Thumbstick to move the object closer or further from the camera
•     - While highlighting a button, the A Button will activate it
